Technical & Advanced Technical Diver Courses
Entry-Level Technical Configuration

TDI Sidemount Open Water Diver
- Learn to configure and dive side-mounted primary cylinders instead of back-mount.
- Minimum 3 open-water dives covering equipment setup, gas management, trim/buoyancy, SMB deployment and varied entries.
- Own a system already? We’ll fine-tune it together. Rentals are Razor harnesses—my personal choice.

Razor Sidemount Diver
Razor Sidemount Open Water Diver
- This is the foundational course for learning the Razor Sidemount system in open water. Designed for certified Open Water Divers, it provides a structured introduction to sidemount diving using the Razor harness, focusing on more Razor specific equipment configuration, trim, buoyancy, and basic problem-solving. It’s ideal for divers who want to begin their sidemount journey with a versatile, standardized system.
Already certified in sidemount with another system?
- The Razor pathway also offers experienced sidemount divers the opportunity to transition to the Razor configuration and refine their skills in combination with advanced training in overhead environments or technical diving.
- With further training in overhead environments, qualified students can earn the Razor Diver recognition card, certifying both their mastery of the Razor system and its application in more complex dive settings.
Core Technical Foundations
Advanced Nitrox Diver
- Gateway to technical diving: use nitrox mixes up to 100 % O₂ within no-decompression limits. Ideal when combined with Intro-to-Tech or Sidemount.

Decompression Procedures Diver
- Plan and execute safe decompression dives, integrate dive-planning software, and practice emergency and backup protocols.
Can be paired with Advanced Nitrox Diver course. - Course prerequisites and curriculum: Click here
Overhead Environment Progression
Overhead Environment Progression
1.
Cavern Diver
- First step into overheads (day-light zone). Focus on configuration, trim, propulsion, conservation and guideline procedures—back-mount or sidemount accepted.

2.
Intro-to-Cave Diver
- Advance beyond the cavern line while staying on the main guideline. Includes lost-line, lost-buddy, “S” drills, and advanced communication.
- Additional Prerequisite: + one evaluation day if Cavern Diver with other instructor.

Full Cave Diver
- Complex navigation (jumps, Ts, circuits), restriction mindset, and decompression-in-cave limits. Most dives mirror real-world exploration — plan extra days to enjoy new systems post-course.
- Additional Prerequisite: + one evaluation day if intro to cave diver with other instructor.

- Prerequisite: Certified sidemount + cave diver.
- If cave diver is very experienced in backmount cave diving, course can be combined with Sidemount Open Water
- Please note: Enrollment in this course is subject to a personal evaluation. To ensure a productive learning experience, I accept students based on their existing skill level, comfort in the water, and readiness for this type of training.

Cave Stage Diver
- Carry and manage additional stage cylinders to extend range; plan decompression obligations and strategic tank drops—mandatory for DPV Cave Diver.
